Kaplan Architects has experience in a wide variety of commercial, retail, housing and hotel projects. Also in past work with other firms, Mr. Kaplan has been responsible for the design of various local government projects, including fire and police station facilities.
The scope of work varies from basic space planning and tenant improvements for single office clients to large corporate headquarters. We also undertake high-end office interiors, as well as new construction and renovations to office and apartment buildings.
We have done a significant amount of work in the banking sector, and have completed many projects for Bank of America and Wells Fargo. Renovations to retail branch banks, a private client services division, and general office facilities are among those projects in our portfolio.
Many of our commercial projects include compliance with the statutes of the American Disabilities Act (ADA). Every remodel done today in every jurisdiction requires proof of compliance with the ADA. We have developed expertise with the ADA and Title 24, the companion California Code for access compliance. One recent project included the seismic and Title 24 upgrade to a six-story hotel in San Francisco.
