New Sonoma County Home - Fire Rebuild: Kenwood California

We were asked to design a new modern house in Kenwood after our client's second home burned in the recent Sonoma County fires. The new custom home design will be rebuilt on the 2.6 acre site.  Initially, the 2,600 square foot house including a 2 car garage will be a weekend retreat but may eventually become their full-time residence.

The new house is to be oriented to capture the best views of the lot.  The house design and orientation on the site also optimizes access to natural light throughout the house.

The lot is a very wooded area with moderate to steeply sloping land.  Luckily, many of the surrounding wooded areas are unaffected by the fires.

We have completed the permit process.
